Know your statistics before reading this book, and especially before entering a class which uses it as a required text book.

It was an ok overall view of Epidemiology. But I highly recommend taking a refresher statistics course if your Epi class is using this book because having a basic understanding of how statistics works in research is really beneficial. It also helps to understand what different studies are conducted and for what purpose that method of study was chosen for a particular disease/problem. My last statistics course was in 2006 and I hardly remembered anything and this book did not help. It doesn't give clear definitions on key terminology. Regardless I ended up Taking a Withdraw pass on the course and am taking a stats class this up coming semester.

Love the textbook on Kindle. Easy to search for areas that cover specific topics. You need a big handheld, or computer to be able to read it though. Don't try it on your phone, you'll get a killer headache.

Clever Erotica Sci-Fi / Paranormal - Is that a new sub-genre?

Imaginative. Clever. Enjoyable read. I need to invent a new sub-genre for Initiation. Erotica Sci-Fi / Paranormal. Erotica sci-fi is difficult, but Initiation has a straight forward, simple time travel plot, albeit slightly kinky. Not much chance of an illogical paradox being created, unless the artifact that is stolen needs would have been used to change history. So the sex wasn't mind bending to accept. The protagonist, Bryn, has most of the characteristics of succubus, except she doesn't terminate souls as far as we know. The graphic sex was satisfying to me and the ending leaves enough ambiguity to interest me in reading the sequels.

Lots of fun

I got so much amusement from this story. It's just a short snippet, but a great way to find out if you like the premise. I found it to be a lot of fun – resourceful, sex-positive female character can time travel through partnered orgasms. The language is course and erotic and let's face it, the book is all about sex. But it's got a fun story and I can't wait to read the rest of the series to see how the story unfolds. This first bit barely introduces the main characters relationship: it's the start of everything and we're just getting a feeling for who they are. This story is written in first person, from the heroine's perspective.

Usually when we start our adventure with Scrum, we focus on what is the most visible and seemingly the easiest to change or introduce: meetings, artifacts, new roles. Very quickly we loose the essence of agility, understanding why we do it.

I recommend this book to anyone that either begins his adventure with Scrum or just... hit the wall. I wish I had read it before. Very useful to help with some of the complex vocabulary that Heidegger coins. Be warned though that using this may become a crutch and the original 'plain' or 'common sense' meaning of a word like presence or event may be lost.

I used it to help me through Being and Time and later Heidegger works like On Time and Being for the sake of completing an undergraduate philosophy thesis on Heidegger.

Air Fryer Heaven!! I just received this book a few days ago and I was sitting at my table skimming through the book and I was pleasantly surprised with not only the recipes, but also the first few pages of frequently asked questions and the cooking guide. I like so many pictures to show you the finished products. The recipes themselves sound so good. And it is unbelievable when you look through this book and realize just how many things can be made in an air fryer! A great book that is priceless to me as I can now cook even healthier than I have been!!

AMAZING! MUST-HAVE COOKBOOK!

I’m a big fan of Allison Waggoner and own all of her books (three so far!). My sister gave me an air fryer for my birthday and I’ve been on the hunt for a cookbook ever since. This book is FANTASTIC! I've had friends over for dinner on multiple occasions and they can’t stop talking about the wonderful food. The biggest reward has been hearing my friends rave about these recipes and sharing this book with them. I’ve tried about fifteen different recipes so far, and they’re all delicious and so tasty. The directions are easy to follow and there are dishes you can prepare ahead (which is great for entertaining!). The book is also so well put together, and I love the photography in all of Allison’s books. Great job! Buy this Now!

This book is excellent for the simple basic recipes for anyone to make. I simply love this book because the recipes are the type of food that I eat daily and not extravagant foods that no one in general eats. I am buying these books for Christmas.

Photos are beautiful. Recipes are easy to follow;however, you still have to "play" with your own recipes to make them work. The fryer is a wonder addition to my kitchen and I have been using it all the time since I got it.

Especially if you're photographer love to shoot stars and night scene

I bought this calendar just a few weeks ago for 2016 and I'm already loving it in 2015!!

Especially if you're photographer love to shoot stars and night scene, this calendar is must to have I believe.
I am not photographer but I love to go camping, hike at night (full moon hike is must try! you don't need headlight!)
This calendar will not only show you moon phases but also show you all the cool events going on up in the sky such as meteor showers and Lunar eclipse and more!! So now I know when to plan a next trip to hike at full moon, or go camping at dark when there is no moon, or go to desert and take shooting star pictures!

And needless to say, each month it's got super cool pictures which I would never be able to shoot!! So beautiful!!
I wish I can go check out all the places in the pics!
This is the main reason I bought this. I am planning to keep each picture as month goes by since it's too beautiful to throw away after only one month. and I'm gonna go there! I don't know how long it will take to go all the places but definitely that's my near future plan.

I can't choose best picture but if I had to, I personally love December and November pictures the most since I am California resident. but again every month has super cool pics!!

About the Author
Virginia E. Schuett is founder and director of National PKU News in Seattle, Washington, and editor of that organization’s newsletter. She has been working with PKU-affected families since 1972 and has published numerous articles and other educational materials on the subject.

Kidney Disease

This book is one of the best helps in the world for those who are going to follow the "very low protein diet" for kidney disease to delay dialysis. The renal dietitians at JHU use this as their Bible in developing diet plans for Dr. Walser's patients. There are a number of helpful suggestions at the start of the book to teach you how to read labels and weigh foods. There are also lists that help you find low protein foods which are updated on the PKU web site. The restrictions on protein for the "very low protein" diet for kidney disease are not as severe as those for PKU, but this book teaches you how to meet those limitations.

Wonderful resource for families & individuals with PKU.

Just keep in mind that it is not a great place to find vegetarian recipes. People with PKU cannot tolerate protein and take a special supplement to provide it. Therefore these recipes will not provide the protein that your average vegetarian will be looking for.
If, however, you or a member of your family has PKU, you should definitely get this book and read the whole thing. TWICE!

Bravo!!!

These women are saints!! There is not enough room on this forum to describe how amazingly awesome this book is. My 1 year old Niece has PKU, and luckily enough my nephew-in-law absolutely LOVES to cook. I got this for him (along with the PKU bread maker recipes) as a Christmas gift and he flipped! He said everything in the book looks fantastic, and there is literally everything from apples to zucchini. If you're needing a low protein diet book, or even just wanting to eat healthier, this is by far the best one out there. Thanks again to Virginia Schuett and Dorothy Corry for taking the time to make low-protein foods not so boring! Generations of PKU/Kidney patients and their families will be thanking you for years to come! I know this grateful Great-Aunt does.
